About

NetStream Tester is a native iOS and macOS utility for saving, playing, and diagnosing network video streams.

It is built for developers, testers, operators, and teams who need to quickly verify cameras, live sources, HLS files, RTSP/RTMP services, and LAN video devices. Instead of repeatedly copying temporary stream URLs, NetStream Tester keeps common test streams in a local library and lets you open them quickly for playback and diagnosis.

Key features:

  • Save, edit, delete, and manage stream URLs locally.
  • Play RTSP, RTMP, HTTP, HTTPS, and HLS streams using MobileVLCKit and VLCKit.
  • See clear playback states, including connecting, playing, paused, timeout, and error.
  • View basic stream information such as resolution, codec, stream type, and URL.
  • Generate and cache preview thumbnails for stream cards.
  • Use a native iOS experience with tabs and full-screen playback.
  • Use a native macOS experience with sidebar navigation and a separate player window.
  • Keep stream lists, settings, and thumbnails on the device without requiring an account or remote server.

NetStream Tester is designed to make stream validation repeatable. It helps you keep test sources organized, quickly confirm whether a stream can connect and display video, and return to previously tested sources without rebuilding your test list each time.
